What is a Net Skin?
A Net Skin is a collectible cosmetic appearance for your Butterfly Net. It changes the way your Net looks while hunting, but it does not contain or modify any gameplay statistics. Your hunting performance remains controlled by the Net Mode you select.

How Net Mode Works
Your equipped Net Skin controls your appearance. Your selected Net Mode controls your hunting performance.

The XP bonus, Butterfly Scales bonus and daily hunt limit are taken from this selected Net Mode.

How to Use a Net Skin
Once a Net Skin has been added to your collection, it works directly with your usual HUD and hunting system.

Obtain a Net Skin
Win or collect a cosmetic Net Skin through an eligible event or reward.

Equip the Net Skin
Add the cosmetic Net to your avatar just like a standard Butterfly Net.

Open the Net Menu
Click your equipped Net to open its main menu, then select the Net Mode option.

Select an Owned Net
Choose the compatible Butterfly Net whose statistics you want to apply to the Net Skin.

Start Hunting
Your chosen appearance and Net Mode are now ready. You can hunt normally with your new style.

Collect Your Reward
Winning a Net Skin unlocks the reward for your account. The physical Net must then be collected in Second Life.
Net Skin Reward Station
After winning a Net Skin, visit the Net Skin Reward Station at the Celestial Butterfly Headquarters to collect your cosmetic Net. Your reward will remain waiting for you until it has been delivered.

No. Net Skins are 100% cosmetic. All hunting
statistics come from the compatible Net selected
through Net Mode.
You can choose from compatible performance Nets that
you currently own. The Wanderleaf Catcher cannot be
selected as a Net Mode.
Yes. Open your equipped Net menu and select
Net Mode whenever you want to use
another compatible owned Net. The option is not
available while a hunt is active.
No. Once the reward has been registered and collected,
the Net Skin belongs to you permanently.
Yes. The Suncrest Catcher is only the beginning.
Additional designs may appear through future events,
seasonal activities and special rewards.
Net Skins will appear in the
My Nets section of your player
profile, including owned, locked, upcoming and retired
designs.
